Proudly we announce that Dr. Mariana Bozesan has been admitted as a Fellow to the prestigious organization “World Academy of Art and Science” (WAAS).

Presently, in the academy there are approx. 730 individual Fellows from varied cultures and nationalities, which encompass many fields of science, social sciences, arts and humanities. They are political leaders, educators, heads of leading non-governmental organizations, diplomats, artists and Nobel Prize winners. To become a Fellow you have to first be nominated by an existing member and be elected directly by the members. 

The election to the WAAS is considered one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a scientist. It is expected that Fellows are concerned with the welfare of the global society and have demonstrated a commitment to addressing the issues of global importance. Principal criteria for election include:

1. Recognized leader in his or her profession
2. Interconnected interests and accomplishments
3. Known record of public service
4. The candidate agrees to his or her nomination and actively participates in the academy’s work

The mission of the World Academy of Art and Science is to promote dialogue across all fields of endeavor. The Academy dedicates itself to the pursuit of creative, catalytic ideas that can provide to present and future generations enlightened leadership in thought that leads to effective action and the change in the world we need.
